wedding party goes to the fair.

Just for fun, we went with our wedding party to the Paris Fair on Labour Day. What a blast! It has been our goal to make sure that we involve our "team" throughout the year, not just on the big day. Here's a few pics from our day at the fair...

We went on some rides...

...played some games...

...made some new friends...


...and ate a year's worth of sweet treats (including a deep fried Mars bar...obviously Bryce's idea).

the colour I have lots of..

Blue! Good thing I like it. It reminds me of Greece, which is a lovely inspiration to have. My entire living/dining area is this shade of blue, or at least something very similar. I saw this room on design*sponge by Fiona Douglas- love the contrasting colours, especially the sea green and fuschia! My favourite is that watercolour canvas over the couch. I'll admit, the floral is a bit much to swallow but otherwise I'm a fan.

This girl decided to lock up all of her previous store-bought clothes so that she would only wear things that she designed and made herself. [what?!] I know, right? Someday I will have the skill/guts to do that. I will. But until then, I totally admire her designs. Here's a few of my favourites from her blog The Dress I Made.

You know I'm a fan of using wrapping paper in interesting ways - so far as table "cloths" and runners - (as seen here and here) but I absolutely love this idea of hanging a handmade sheet of paper in a frame for instant (and inexpensive!) but beautiful art. This marble print that kristen f. davis designs used is amazing! For those in the Waterloo Region...I know a place uptown called Write Impressions that has single sheets of paper (for $4 or $5) with beautiful prints.
